Oooooooooooooh Armani have impressed me

I love sequins!!!!!

"With shining gemstones embedded on elevated shoulder pads and jewel-coloured jackets, the Armani Haute Couture show kept to its Eastern influences with elegantly flat Chinese sun hats and exotic makeup. Glittering sequins and diamante were used on flared-sleeve cropped jackets worn with smooth silk satin trousers and daringly low cut V-necks.

The main feature of the cuffs, metallic bow ties, over sized earrings and layers of jewels were their beautifully bright colours, worn with carefully structured use of classic shapes - such as two-toned capes and layered pencil skirts, or bandeau dresses quilted in shimmering scarlet, before a rainbow puffball skirt and shimmering panels of beads gave a mermaid's tail effect in a glowing turquoise."

Blog post pilfered from Dazed Digital, they write what I want to say but in a much better way.

PICK ME please thank you very much

So I entered this competition to win an paid internship at ELLE, which I haven't got a chance in hell of winning. But if every viewer of my blog gives me a vote or a "pick" it might help those odds. The link is below the picture. Thank you xxx

I didn't fully appreciate this man for such a long time

Bags of Gold

This was on Skins last night, and is pretty much the only thing I liked about the whole episode.

Katie's PV was a huge SUCCESS

Here she is standing proudly (rightly so) next to one of her drawings. The space was packed and everyone had a good time I think, although she said she didn't even know half of the people that turned up, which I can only see as a good thing. The show is open for a few weeks so if anyone reads this and lives in London, go see it! The nearest tube is Paddington and then you walk about 10 mins to the gallery. Also If you're feeling super generous buy a piece! My mum is getting me some for the house, I can't wait. Here is me below with some friends .

ALSO, go see her website for more information. Here's a Link for you lovelies.

Lea T making wavvvvvves

I blogged about Lea T months ago asking the question was she a gimmick or a goddess? I don't know why I asked this as I feel so cruel for using the word gimmick. She was obviously more than that and I did mention I thought she was a beautiful woman goddess and a model in her own right. However she has recently appeared on the front cover of my all time favourite magazine "Love" which is in itself a HUGE deal. BUT.... She is also kissing Miss Moss on the front of it for their androgyny issue. She does a great job. Well done Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for an attention grabbing, thought provoking shot. (Genuinely no sarcasm there)

Tuesday morning sing-a-long

It's been nearly a year since I was introduced to Darwin Deez on 6 music. It's been 8 months since I met him (cringey moment)

BUT....his songs are still going round in my head. This must mean he's good right?

A journey from Vietnam - Well Done VO!

"Sarah Vo, known as Vo to her friends, is a photographer from London who uses 35mm film and Polaroid cameras to make dreamy fashion images out of stories and memories from the past. Her experimentation with the techniques of analogue photography allow her to create grainy and colourful photos such as her recent work-DREAMS AND NIGHTMARES FROM HEAVEN AND HELL- in which she recreates her father’s journey to Britain from Vietnam in the 70s using mermaids."

Taken from Dazed and Confused online. They're amazing, she is super talented :)

Billie Porter

Watched this girl on the joy of teen sex. Her attitude to everything on it is hilarious.
Wish I'd read some of her articles before. Here she is being effortlessly cool in a spread for Jalouse magazine.

Sorry for lack of posts!

I've been on a bit of a stressful few weeks. Moved out from Sheffield and back to Cardiff, but then also went to London for Katie Brookes' Descent of Life exhibition (amazing), so haven't had a spare minute to do anything.
It's official though, I am now jobless. The hunt for my future career begins this week.

Clemence Poesy - Classic French Chic

She wow'ed me on Gossip Girl and now apparently she is the French Alexa Chung, which I could totally see. I think she is amazing.

Total Life Forever

I have loved Foals since my first year at uni way back in 2007. When their second album came out last May, I wasn't overly impressed and felt like everything was a bit drab and dull. Powerful? yes. Epic? yes. But not quite the same as the fun party loving music of the first.
However after listening and listening it is safe to say I now see it as better than their first. I am no music reviewer so I don't know correct jargon, but every time I listen to it now I seem to hear things I never did before. Now every listen I like it more.

I haven't visited their website in a while and I did before and was amazed. It loads up and you have 10 puzzles to click that reveal 10 artistic pictures with some lyrics scrawled over. I LOVE a really good website design, and this really pleases me.

Go have a look
