I saw this girl do a DJ set in Leeds sometime last year and kinda admired from afar her whole personal style. GIRL WORE A TRANSPARENT BUBBLE BACKPACK AND SPACEBOOTS.

I'm not even joking, she looked like she'd just stepped out of a time machine and found her way like Alice through the looking glass into a new world of "safe" fashion and normality.  I loved it obviously.

Then she released some music and recently live streamed her whole album on http://www.charlixcxmusic.com/ and i knew that she was destined for good things.

I'm going to Primavera Sound 2013

Today i have mostly been making my Primavera playlist so that when i walk to work every morning in the dreary grey of industrial Liverpool, i can listen to it and start day dreaming about blue skies, wild nights, and best friends in Barcelona. 38 days!!

Little Ricky's Treasures LOVE

My friend Cara makes charm bracelets and they are the CUTEST!

She sent me a little care package this week and i just had to share. 

They arrived on these dainty little cards which let me know what each teeny tiny charm stood for and what the colours of the strings represent. I actually AWWWWWWW'd when they arrived. My favourite way to wear these are to layer them all up on one arm. Think 90's, folky, boho vibes. Add some shag bands and pile on as many rings as you can manage for instant arm candy.

Shoesies + Spring

Normally when i'm wiling away the time catching up on TV i've missed in the week on 4od, iplayer etc I always HATE those adverts that come on in the middle. However this one was a bit different. I found myself tip tapping along like a fool and generally feeling really summery and happy all of a sudden. WEIRD 

 I waited until the end of the ad to see who was responsible for perking me up so, and was a little shocked if i'm honest to see it was by Clark's. You know Clark's? They make those orthopaedic granny shoes which your nan probably has about 60 of and sell the slightly cooler Original Desert boots in 50 shades of..... camel.

I've always seen Clark's as a british institution which is brilliant and full of history but i've never ever seen them as fashionable in any form. They're like anti-fashion, they're the makers of comfortable, practical shoes. Which is why this promo video for SS13 men's and womens shoes is such a refreshing thing to see. Judge for yourself. Maybe this sees a STEP in a new direction for the brand. Hope so.

Spring is nearly here!

I don't know about you but i'm so bored of this cold weather. All i wanna do is start having BBQ's with my friends, sit in a few beer gardens with a glass of wine and get my pasty white legs some sun exposure! PLEASE BRITAIN NO MORE SNOW!

It was whilst i was moping about our non-existant sun that i decided to browse for Spring house decs to cheer myself up a bit. I've been buying flowers to put in little vases around the flat (see top pic) but nothing says spring like some pastel. 

I ended up on http://www.dotcomgiftshop.com/ as from past experience they do some cute little homey bits and found a HUGE VARIETY OF BUNTING!!

Nothing says Spring like bunting and i found myself falling in love with the cut out paper version. Very Rob Ryan.
